21st May, 4:27pm	thericochet: Years ago I used to wish Fred would be given more mic time, and I thought Howard wasn't giving it to him because he was jealous of the talents that Fred has that he doesn't, but now I see why Howard was more judicious with giving the time to him. Fred seems to like the sound of his own voice, and when he tries to make points they're either exceedingly obvious or don't make sense at all. He's almost like JD in that sense, except he has a great voice and can enunciate really well.

But he has been way off recently spending sometimes 30 minutes at a time doing a rambling impression of his father and mother. The show is only four hours long, and he's been spending sometimes an eigth of the show doing that boring dialogue. I'm sure his parents are nice people, but they are boring and no one gives a crap about their daily routine. Howards life is interesting, but his parents life is dull and I could care less.

Nobody can get anyone else sober and clean, you can only point them in the direction for help. I do not blame Howard at all.

While the wraup is recording, I can edit and save both show files. By the time the wraup is complete, both versions of the show are saved, and tagged. Since only the shows are different, I would have to wait to save the wrapup until 12:05, thus adding 25 more minutes to the 0-day time. You guys have to remember I am working while trying to edit. The current method is the way that works for me.

In the case of proxies, international governments are usually on the case. Sure, there are all kinds of "dark arts" at work (such as our newly founded Cyber Security military divisions). I have actually tracked someone to their house myself, but not without good ole fashion foot work and social engineering. It gets even more difficult if one is using a shared access network (cable or wireless), as then you have to narrow down which user was using which IP at what time.

Tracking who/where an IP address was assigned at any point in time takes coordination of not only the geek/forensics group, but the ISP as well. Even then there's no way to prove that Benjy's machine had "the IP address" unless Benjy's IP is a static (never changing) address that's bound to his MAC Address (specific network card).
